After hearing two beautiful recordings of this selection on CB by two well recognized contributors ( Agnus_Dei, and wolfram_syre) I had to give it a try. I chose to use the "full" resources available on the custom American Classic sample set. Tremulants, harp, chrysoglott, glock, celestes galore, Tibia, vox humana and a variety of color reeds.
They both chose to record this on the same instrument: William Hill English Organ Model.

All three of us play this differently. It is interesting to listen to each interpretation of the same selection and hear how a composition can sound so different depending on the artist, instrument and his or her choices! |
