Description:
This sprightly piece in two voices was inspired by an improvisation by Bálint Karosi. You can find his improvisation, which was published on YouTube on 23 March 2020, by searching for his name and "What God ordains".

My own piece was partly prepared in advance – I wrote down consonances on each downbeat where the cantus firmus appeared, but improvised the diminutions to connect cantus firmus notes in the left hand, as well as the action of the ritornello sections.
