A little ode to Bach on his birthday.
(according to the latest research he probably was born on March 31 instead of March 21)
What better than to celebrate it with an excellent transcription of the closing chorale from the Passion Cantata "Jesus nahm zu sich die Zwölfe" BWV 22 from Peter Baekgaard.
Maurice Duruflé also transcribed this piece for organ in a more heavy and romantic way. Baekgaard just turns this piece into a delicious trio. He suggests a 2' stop in the pedal, I have chosen a 4' reed.
This organ isn't the most authentic for this music, I know. But if used in the right way this organ can handle a piece like this very well.
