Tiento partido de mano derecha 8o tono

Gabriel Manalt I Domenech (1657-1687) was a farmer’s son.
He became a well-known local musician.

He was organist of the church of Sants Just i Pastor in Barcelona before becoming organist (1679-1687) and chapel master (from 2 August to 26 September 1685) in Santa Maria del Mar (Barcelona).

His contemporaries considered him a virtuoso in the interpretation of the organ, and went so far as to describe it as "unique in Catalonia".

He composed several pieces, mostly for organ, such as tientos, verses and motets, all of which were reputed to be of great interest and quality.

This piece consists of three parts; every part played on a different registration.
