Description: | Martin Larson (b. 1967) — Organ Music 1 (1997)
Swedish composer Martin Larson (b. 1967) was born in Trelleborg and was educated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He has studied composition with Rolf Martinsson, Sven-David Sandström, Lars Ekström, and Krzysztof Penderecki, among others. For the first part of Larson’s composing career, he wrote a number of instrumental works in a contemporary post-avant-garde language, including three symphonies, four string quartets, and concerti for trumpet and oboe. In 2013, he drastically changed his composition style, and since that time he has composed almost exclusively sacred choral and vocal music of an intimate character. |
