To make my adaptation of the "Carillon" in Ghent, I used the sample set found on the internet. I put a keyboard with the "Carillon" set to 440 Hz (approximately) in stereo, an "Echo" keyboard (half volume), a keyboard with the sounds on the left and another on the right.
The harmonics of a bell are sometimes surprising and do not allow to play in certain tones. It is therefore most often necessary to transpose the piece being performed.
I deliberately reduced the duration of the releases to 3s to make it more pleasant to listen to.
This work is almost finished.
Note: I never wanted to reconstitute the carillon of Ghent that I do not know not really. But when I studied the scores of Van den Gheyn, I noticed that several passages were in echo. Other passages where the melody should be more prominent. So I made the set of samples corresponding to my intentions for my personal use. Obviously this set of samples has nothing to do with the Ghent carillon!
