The first edition ( https://ks.imslp.net/files/imglnks/usimg/5/59/IMSLP501050-PMLP811453-Mayone_Capricci_1_1603_low_res.pdf) was laid out in open score. There are so many overlapping notes that I'm tempted to read it as originally a work for consort rather than keyboard.
I've used as far as possible only the original 1603 stops, but since they don't include an 8 foot principal some additions were necessary. I've used 8' principal, 4' principal and 4' flute. |
