Composer: Improvisation
Sample Set: Bologna, Zanin 1962 - still in production, beta version
Software: Hauptwerk IV
Genre: Harmonization of the medieval sequence
Description:
I have been absent from Contrebombarde for a long time: today I propose a simple improvisation on the beautiful Pentecost sequence "Veni Sancte Spiritus".
It is a harmonization of the Gregorian melody: the stanzas have the same melody two by two and the alternation of the choirs in the sequence chant is rendered by alternating the Plenum of Swell and Great.

0:19 - Veni, Sancte Spiritus, / et emitte cælitus / lucis tuæ radium.

1:50 - In labore requies, / in æstu temperies, / in fletu solacium.

2:23 - O lux beatissima, / reple cordis intima / tuorum fidelium.

2:53 - Sine tuo numine, / nihil est in homine / nihil est innoxium.
