Admittedly, I know very little about this composer. The bulk of his education and career took place in Norway, although he did spend a year studying at Juilliard following his graduation from the conservatory in Oslo. He served for 45 years as the organist of the Kristiansand Cathedral in Norway, and is the composer of numerous works for organ as well as choral works.
I became acquainted with this work through a recording by Christopher Herrick in the "Organ Fireworks" series on the Hyperion Records label. The sheet music is published by Lyche Musikkforlag in Norway, and is still under copyright so I regret that I will not be able to provide a copy of the score to anyone.
For this recording, I am using the Hauptwerk sample set of the great Marcussen organ in the Laurenskerk, Rotterdam, the Netherlands, produced by Sonus Paradisi.
