Jenus Phillips (1932–2018) — Andante (2004) for organ

American composer Jenus Phillips (1932–2018) was a native of Alabama and a resident of the New Orleans area from 1961 until his death. A composer, teacher, and organist/choir director, he was a graduate of Samford University and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned the MCM and Ed.D. degrees. Phillips served as musician in various churches in Alabama, Texas, and the New Orleans area. His last and longest tenure of 34 years was in New Orleans at Lake Vista United Methodist Church.
