Psalm 17 (Chaconne)

Chaconne on Psalm 17. The 8 notes of the first sentence are used as basso ostinato.
The last variation depicts literally the words of verse 3: "Ik zet mijn treden in Uw spoor".
This composition was meant as contribution for the composition contest organized as part of the 'Psalmzangdag' on Sep 4, 2021 in the Bovenkerk in Kampen. When I played it, my wife said: Nice... but if you want to win you better can make something else. She was right.... :-) It is true, the chaconne is probably not the most suitable style for a choral prelude.
