Composer: Johann Peter Kellner
Sample Producer: Piotr Grabowski
Sample Set: Saint-Jean-de-Luz (choeur)
Software: GrandOrgue
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Some time ago I came to know and love the beautiful music of Johann Peter Kellner. He was a pupil of Bach and left behind wonderful pieces. I would classify him between Bach and Telemann.

Here now is one of the two better-known organ trios, which would not necessarily be technically easy to play. The pedal in particular, with its continuous eighth-note movements, demands quite a bit of skill from the organist. I tried playing it live, but failed with the pedal. But since the piece is so beautiful, I would like to present it to you anyway. I played the parts individually - with a metronome at 68 quarter notes per minute - placing them afterwards on the two manuals and the pedal of the beautiful sample set of the St. Jean-de-luc organ.

There is another trio in G major, but it is even more difficult to play. I'll make a note of that for the next few days.
