1. U was begaan, Heer, met uw volk, uw land.
U keerde Is r'els lot met sterke hand.
Vergeven hebt U alle zondeschuld
en met uw liefdemantel gans omhuld.

2. U hebt uw wrok en woede weggedaan.
Herstel ons Heer, laat ons in vrijheid staan.
Neem weg uw toom, hergeef ons onze eer;
kom ons bevrijden, U bent onze Heer.

4. Toon ons uw liefde, Heer, bevrijd ons nu.
Luiste ren wil ik naar het woord van U.
God spreekt van vrede voor zijn volk
wanneer het afstand doet van 't dwaze van weleer.

7. Ook geeft de Heer ons voorspoed naar zijn woord,
dan brengt het land zijn rijke oogsten voort.
Gerechtig heid gaat voor de Here uit,
Zodat de weg zich voor de Heer ontsluit.

1. You cared, Lord, with your people, your country.
You turned Is r'el's fate with a strong hand.
You have forgiven all the guilt of sin
and wrapped in thy cloak of love.

2. You have put away your resentment and anger.
Restore us Lord, let us stand at liberty.
Take away your wrath, restore our honor to us;
come and deliver us, You are our Lord.

4. Show us your love, Lord, deliver us now.
I want to listen to the word of You.
God speaks of peace for his people
when it renounces the foolishness of the past.

7. Also the Lord prospereth us according to his word,
then the land will bring forth its rich harvests.
Justice goes before the Lord,
So that the way opens up to the Lord.
