Description:
Johann Gottfried Vierling was a German organist and composer. He received lessons from C.P.E. Bach. Looking back at my recordings, I think it's safe to say that I like chorale trio's with a nice reed as cantus firmus. In this case the beautiful and a bit unpolished Fagot 8', which perfectly suits the meaning of the chorale text.
