As already announced, I have tackled this fugue over the melody of the Romance in g by Jean-Paul Verpeaux again. The cadenza in bar 53/54 was simply not good and it gave me no peace.
So I completely recomposed everything from bar 53 onwards. The fugue has 5 voices in the last bars. An organ point in the left hand completes the picture. Without an organ point, it's not a real fugue.
From bar 59 we hear the full organ!
I slowed down the tempo and play the piece on the wonderful sample set of the Mascioni organ in Giubiasco, Switzerland
@Alberto: have you ever had the opportunity to play live on this wonderful instrument?
Salutations à Jean-Paul, je suis sûr que tu préfére la 2ème version, n'est-ce pas?
