French music on a Rieger organ Uploaded by: DominiqueD Composer: Adolphe Miné / Joseph Hemmerlé Organ: AVO BETA VERSION NOVI SAD Software: Hauptwerk VI Views: 374
Augustine (AVO) is preparing a new sample. While testing all stops of the beta version.. I decided to record some music before the improvement of the sample. I just had some special music from 19th century on my organ.
I propose you some pieces from Adolphe Miné (1797- 1854) and Joseph Hemmerlé (1882-1967).
J. Hemmerlé was priest, editor, composer and organist in Belfort in east of France. I propose you one Interlude from his 25 pieces for organ or harmonium.
Adolphe Miné was first organist in Saint-Roch in Paris and then Choir master and organist of the great organ of the Cathedral of Chartres. He studied the organ with François Benoist. I play here pieces from the 4th and 6th parts of the "Organiste pratique". I think that with these recordings, Miné and Hemmerlé first appear on CCH.
