Genre: Medieval and Renaissance
Description:
Thomas Tallis (1505 - 1585) English composer and organist.
He held various organist positions in his life, including at Dover Priory and the church at Waltham Abbey in Essex (where it is claimed King Harold is buried after dying at Hastings), before moving on to Canterbury Cathedral. He was also composer and organist for the Tudor Royals. During this time he would have had to keep switching between Roman Catholic and the new Church of England styles as monarchs changed.

This was arranged by Noel Rawsthorne. Christopher Noel Rawsthorne (24 December 1929 – 28 January 2019) was an organist and composer, most famous for organist of Liverpool Cathedral until 1980. He studied with Marcel Dupre for a while. From 1980 onwards he worked with the publisher Kevin Mayhew, who published this score.

I think this is one of the most under rated sample sets out there. It is beautiful.

Hope you enjoy.
