American organist and composer Matthew H. Corl (b. 1965) was educated at Westminster Choir College where his teachers included John Lippincott, Robin Leaver, and Allen Crowell. He also earned the Colleague and Associate certificates from the American Guild of Organists. In 1987, he joined the music department of First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Florida, eventually becoming Co-Director of Music and Fine Arts. Corl has composed music for organ, choir, handbells, and orchestra, and his work has been published by a number of publishers, including MorningStar, Alfred, Concordia, Oxford, and Selah.
