| Description: | Happy Christmas to all Contrebombardiers!
This piece gets posted on CBB once or twice a year, but as I was playing it at the Midnight service last night I thought I would record it on the new deluxe Concert 125.
For those not familiar with BWV 729, this is not the gentle, lilting In Dulci Jubilo ("In sweet rejoicing, now sing and be glad!") as often sung from e.g. Carols for Choirs. Instead it is a big, dramatic Chorale Prelude which, amongst other things, has for many years been the first organ postlude played at the end of the Nine Lessons and Carols at Kings College Cambridge.
