It does sound a little warlike, but it is a beautiful folk tune from the 18th century. I set it for 4 voices in December 2018, a good 2 years ago.
We hear 4 verses on the MelcerChamber Music Hall organ, each in a different registration.
This movement is also in lively 6/8 time and again very moving in the voices, the pedal has again been played in manually by me - no point in getting it to work live at that tempo - or maybe it can? Who knows .... |
