Choralphantasie 'Jesus meine Zuversicht'

Johann Christoph Kellner is probably best known for his Praeludium in C. His chorale based pieces are actually more interesting. This fine chorale fantasia is a perfect example of the early classic period: Haydn on the organ.

I recorded this piece some months ago and first hesitated to use it. As an experiment I only used the rear channels of the sample set, to give a more spacious sound. Now that I listen to it afterwards it lacks a bit of direct sound from the organ. But on the other hand it's nice to let the beautiful acoustics of this church embrace you.
