Description: | Hymn tune by Carl Maria von Weber (1876-1826), arr by: Henry Greatorix (1813-1858), with lyrics by George W. Doane (1799-1859).
Although I have many European organ sample sets, which I love, I didn't have an American set with good chimes, which sometimes I like to hear. So I bought Evensong's 1926, 3 manual Wangerin wet sample set, which was easy to install and doesn't take much computer resource. This is my first playing with it, with no added reverb. It's fun to play on my two manual DIY VPO..
I recorded a simple hymn, sometimes played at funerals, with chimes.
Lyrics: "Softly now the light of day
Fades upon my sight away
Free from care, from labor free,
Lord, I would commune with thee."
