A synthesis of folk music, classicism, and modernism.
Description:
B. Bartók Mikrokosmos book 6 From the Diary of a Fly
Have to say I was a bit horrified when I read that Books Mikrokosmos Volumes five and six are intended as professionally performable concert pieces (Diary is from vol 6 !! ).
I think the piece is an example of Bartok’s humor. People play this very fast, but I’m old and play a bit slower and maybe my fly is old and fly slower too...
Mikrokosmos consists of 153 progressive piano pieces in six volumes. Volumes five and six are intended as professionally performable concert pieces.
Books 3- 6 has been played also on harpsichord.
I think my performance is not at all a professional performance. I'm an amateur, but it was a nice try. Enjoyed it.
