Jeff Perks (b. 1962) was born in Savannah, Georgia; he began music lessons at a very early age, followed by degrees in piano performance from Armstrong State College and the University of South Carolina. His career has involved positions as music director of Providence Baptist Church (Charlotte, North Carolina), Unity Presbyterian Church (Denver, North Carolina), and Denver United Methodist Church, music director for the singing waiters of Bravo Ristorante (Charlotte, North Carolina). From 2000–06, Perks was a top-rated pianist for Carnival Cruise Lines.
