A beautiful song from the pen of Michael Praetorius. We hear the song movement, a trio and a somewhat more complex fugue for four voices, which develops a chromatic ascent and descent on the basis of the song motif, which in bars 49-52 consistently wanders through the entire circle of fifths, finding its way back to the original key in the middle after an enharmonic confusion. The fugue ends with full organ in a narrowing of the theme.
Yes, I actually put money in my hand and bought Erfurt Büßleben by Piotr. Unfortunately, I don't really get on with the tuning. The most tolerable thing was the equal temperament and the largely simultaneous renunciation of "odd" voices, such as fifths, thirds, etc. Maybe someone knows which tuning works best with this set of samples .....
