Mein Jesu, der du mich

Sometimes translated into English as 'My Jesus calls to me', this is number 1 of the Eleven Chorale Preludes, Op 122, which Brahms wrote in the last year of his life. Like much of Brahms's sacred music, many of the chorale preludes are both beautiful and sad. This prelude reminds me of the German Requiem and its consolation for those who mourn.
