A Byrd in the Woods...

William Byrd, one of the great renaissance composers, wrote many keyboard works which do sound splendid on harpsichord, organ, regal etc. I picked three pieces to record on the wonderful sample set of the F.C. Schnitger organ of Duurswoude. Unfortunately we don't hear this sample set often, probably because of it's dry acoustics. But especially pieces like these are perfect for it.
