Buck McDaniel (b. 1994) — Blackbird (after McCartney) (2021) for organ
American composer Buck McDaniel (b. 1994) is a native of Columbia, Mississippi. He studied composition at Cleveland State University with Andrew Rindfleisch and Gregory D’Alessio, organ with Todd Wilson, and privately in New York City with composer Timo Andres and organist James McVinnie. Commissions have included new works for the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and the No Exit New Music Ensemble. He was the 2018/19 Kulas Composer Fellow at the Cleveland Public Theatre.
