A.P.F. Boëly - various versets (for the DuMont Kyrie)
Here is a set of five Versets in E minor I have selected to form a sort of "Versets pour le Kyrie de Dumont" (however it is probable that not all of these pieces were originally intended for the Dumont Kyrie). The majority of these come from the posthumous publications by Richault in ~1860 (specifically the op. 39 & 41). The fugue is taken from a Messe de Dumont from the Ms. 169, and was also published as op. 12 no 16. This Messe de Dumont was either never completed, or there is a substantial amount of other material present in manuscript copies I have yet to obtain (there are numerous cases in the Boëly manuscripts where pages originally together are dispersed and bound in different manuscripts)
Also since I don't see many people using the Goch sample set. I thought this would be a good opportunity as well to make some recordings on what is now one of my favorite sample sets. And in my opinion there is a good bit of this later Postclassical music that works quite well on it, so perhaps if I get around to it i'll record some Benoist or J-M Beauvarlet-Charpentier later (or maybe an interesting J. Franck "Orage").
