Laudate Dominum - Psalm 150

This piece is part of a bundle with six pieces by Sietze de Vries on Psalm 150 from the Genevan Psalter. It goes from baroque to modern. I recorded the fourth piece on the model of the Fleiter organ of the St. Ludgerus Dom in Billerbeck.

This setting is in a late romantic style and has a canonic structure. First you hear the tune of Psalm 150 on the manuals and a bar later you'll hear the cantus firmus in the pedals. The combination of the swell strings and the clear flute 4' from the Rückpositiv is very nice, I think. However, since the swell box is almost closed, you'd better turn up the volume.
