Fuge in F-dur

Sonus Paradisi is busy preparing a new sample set of a precious Czech organ. The Johann DavidSieber organ (1709) of Polná. It's still in beta test phase, but I was permitted to share a small preview/teaser already. So let's start with the beautiful Principal 8' of the Hauptwerk.

I picked a nice fugue of the Czech composer Jan Křtitel Vaňhal, also known as Johann Baptist Vanhal. He was an organist, but also played the cello and the violin. Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven respected him very much as a composer. He shows his quality as a composer for sure in this fugue. A simple theme, but he makes the most of it regarding to the counterpoint.
