Carillon des Morts

C. Balbastre - Carillon des Morts Dédié A la Faculté de Medecine

Here is a "Carillon des Morts" by Claude Balbastre, and a very typical one for the time as well (compare for instance to the two carillon pieces by J-J Beauvarlet Charpentier and etc.). This piece comes from a manuscript collection (ms. 256, municipal library of Versailles) containing several pieces for organ (or harpsichord) mostly by Balbastre (with a few others as well).
