"Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele," one of Bach's most beautiful pieces from his Leipzig chorales, is a must for most organists and has sat eagerly on my bucket list since I first heard it. Bearing the powerful text, "Soul, Adorn Yourself with Gladness," Bach has been able to bring the hymnist's words to life in this chorale. It's soothing and calm quality make it a wonderful prelude to a church service and an excellent concert work as well. I tend to pay a lot of attention to detail in this piece (a trait I have inherited from my fantastic organ teacher). With that being said this piece is far from perfect, but is at least adequate for performance.
