Liardon was a true master in composing chorale trios, as shows this very fine and uplifting trio on 'Grosser Gott, wir loben dich', also known as 'Holy God, We Praise Thy Name'. The hymn tune is from about 1776, so Liardon wrote a perfect trio in the style galante style, fitting to the 3/4 metre of this hymn.
Played on the upcoming OrganArt Media beta sample set of the Dreifaltigkeits Organ, Ottobeuren.
