We are near October 31, Reformation Day. An important day in The Netherlands and other European countries. Protestants and Lutherans commemorate the placarding of Martin Luther's 95 propositions. Luther possibly posted them on the door of the Schlosskirche of Wittenberg on October 31, 1517. Luther wrote many church hymns (both text and tune) of which 'A mighty Fortress is our God' probably is the most famous. Many composers wrote chorale preludes on this hymn. So did Dietrich Buxtehude.
I recorded this piece on the upgraded version 1.36 of the sample set of the Bader organ, Zutphen, sampled by Sonus Paradisi. Pipe coupling and detuning are added to this version and the release behaviour is improved.
