Georg Böhm is well known for being of influence on the young Johann Sebastian Bach. Besides thatwe know him mostly because of his development of the chorale partitas, however his chorale preludes are also worth looking into.

This chorale prelude on 'Christum wir sollen loben schon' is quite sober, however it had an immediate appeal to me when first playing it. I think the beautiful Principahl 8' (with tremulant) of the Oberwerk brings this piece to a higher level.
