This Prelude in G major, BWV 568 is one of Bach's early organ works and probably written in the years that Bach served as organist in Arnstadt. This prelude isn't as enhanced as the big preludes & fugues Bach composed when he was older. The influence of North German baroque composers like Buxtehude is very clear. However, it is a very fine piece, full of excitement and Bach's typicial youthful enthusiasm.
