Wach auf mein Herz und Singe Uploaded by: wimbomhof Composer: Johann Friedrich Schmoll (1739-1794) Organ: Noordbroek, Schnitger-Hinsz-Freytag Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 49
After the two pedaliter choral preludes, Kehls prelude to the choral "Wach auf, mein Herz und singe" is again a manualiter piece. Though Kehl does not give a tempo indication, it seems to me that it should be played like an Allegro, or even Allegro Vivace. A nice detail of this composition is that Kehl takes the second words of the title of the choral (Wach auf = Wake up) rather literally. In the first four bars the right hand parts moves from the b flat of the small octave al the way up to the c of the three-lined octave.
