Composer: Bach, J. S.
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Doesburg Martinikerk Walcker Organ
Software: Hauptwerk VII
Genre: Baroque
Description:
In 1913 Karl Straube published his revsion of the 2nd book of Bach´s organ works. He wanted to show how this music should be played on late romantic german instruments, including indications concerning orchestra like registration, increase of tempo etc. In later years he discarded these ideas ... The Doesburg Walcker organ (1916) is an instrument of that kind and time and so I wanted to realize Bach´s Passacaglia in that "Leipzig style" on a perfect fitting organ.
