Software: Hauptwerk VII
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Merry Christmas!

The same piece "Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her", Fuga BWV 700 by J.S. Bach played on three different organs:
00:00 - 2012 Metzler Monasterio Poblet, Spain (sample set by OAM OrganArt Media).
03:36 - 2010 Metzler St. Annenkirche Düren, Germany (sample set by Piotr Grabowski)
07:08 - 1766 Riepp Dreifaltigkeits-Orgel, Ottobeuren, Germany (sample set by OAM OrganArt Media).

I tried to register a classical organo pleno on all three instruments. We used to call this registration "white" plenum, because there are no colour stops (fifths, thirds, reeds or similar) in the manual. In the pedal, of course, the trumpets, bombarde, etc. are fully registered.

The two Metzler instruments sound amazingly similar. It is the typical Metzler plenum!
Of course, the Riepp organ sounds quite different, the different pitch alone is immediately noticeable.

An interesting comparison.
