Description: | Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger (1839 - 1901) was born in Vaduz and later lived in Munich as an organist and professor for composition at the royal bavarian academy of music.
Among his numerous pupils are many well-known names such as Max Bruch, Hans Koessler, Engelbert Humperdinck, Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari, Joseph Renner jun., Richard Strauss, Wilhelm Furtwängler, Horatio Parker or George Chadwick.
From his numerous works encompassing essentially all kind of genres including symphonies and operas essentially only his organ works are played today.
This pastorale is part of a collection of 12 pieces.
