Johann Jakob Froberger was a German composer, harpsichordist and organist of the Baroque period. He initially studied music with his father, Basilius Froberger, who was Kapellmeister in Stuttgart. Froberger was later a student of the Italian Girolamo Frescobaldi and also composed extensively for the harpsichord.
