Starting with the softest 8' stops on all manuals, coupled at all times, with soft pedal, increasingly adding 8' stops, keeping to playing on Man. I (Hauptwerk) adding reeds too, but never any stops beyond 8' pitch. At the end, decrescendo to soft again (but not as soft as the start).
Equalverbot is the German term for the supposed non-allowance of many stops at the same pitch; but I don't see any historical evidence to justify such a "Verbot."
