Fugue in D Minor, Wq 119/2 Uploaded by: mchild Composer: Bach, Carl Philipp Emanuel Organ: 1730 Trost, Waltershausen, Germany Software: Hauptwerk IV Views: 375
The melody of this fugue is by my friend Jean-Paul. It is tender and a bit anxious, romantic - simply beautiful. A large part of the fugue is in 3 voices, only in the coda from bar 80 the pedal is added and the Hauptwerk with all its voices.
In the development of the fugue, we once again go through the entire circle of fifths, and via an enharmonic confusion we return to the original key.
At the transition of the development to the recapitulation, I have appropriately taken a part of Jean-Paul's composition and quoted it with an additional voice. After a few bars, the melodic line and accompaniment then mix with the counterpoint and the whole thing leads - comme déjà dit - into the coda.
