Improvisation on a French theme

This is my début on the Concert Hall platform. For some time I have simply listened to the various postings on this platform and have now decided to contribute something. I am a good friend of Silchester whom I have known for many years. Silchester invited me to record on his VPO as I do not have one. I never formally learnt to improvise. I have just relied on instinct. My late teacher was from the French tradition. I played the original Cavaillé-Coll organ in the cathedral of St Etienne, Caen on 1 November 1994. The sample set is very convincing compared with the original.
