Christian Heinrich Rinck (1770-1846) composed the Prelude and Fugue in B flat major on BACH. A piece in which one can already sense sounds from Max Reger's great imagination and fugue on BACH. Rinck was a contemporary of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin and is a musical representative of Biedermeier and early Romanticism - but here in the piece there is a clear view towards late Romanticism. A Rinck was an important organist in his day, but has unfortunately been largely forgotten today.
The Prelude and Fugue was edited by Maurizio Machella, whom I sincerely thank for his valuable work!
Why Goch? I wavered between Holzhey, Annaberg and Goch. The full sound of the Goch finally convinced me the most. But just - a matter of taste! Enjoy listening!
