Pachelbel is one of those composers whose works do sound good on many organ types, at least in my opinion. Mostly I play his organ/keyboard works on Central or South German baroque organs, but in this case I choose a German romantic instrument: the Walcker-Eule organ of Annaberg-Buchholz, modeled by OrganArt Media. Normally I would pick a registration in which the cantus firmus is played with a 4' (reed) stop of the pedal. In this case I went for a more introvert interpretation, which is also due to the meaning of the chorale text:
Ich hab mein Sach Gott heimgestellt,
er machs mit mir, wie’s ihm gefällt.
Soll ich allhier noch länger leben,
ohn Widerstrebn
seim Willen tu ich mich ergebn.
