Heinrich Scheidemann, probably one of the most famous students of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck. Sweelinck's influence is certainly present in many of his organ works, but Scheidemann developed into one of the early composers of the North German organ school. This piece is a nice example of that. When played at first it doesn't feel like a piece you can put all your 'stylus phantasticus' skills into. But when trying some things, especially the change of manuals, it come to life.
This Schnitger organ of Steinkirchen is of course one of the best and most authentic organs in the world to play this repertoire on.
