The composer writes: “Inexorable Transition stands for the unstoppable transition. An unstoppable change. We don’t know the future and there are always tasks ahead of us that we must master. Out of the comfort zone into the new us.”

Nicole Johänntgen (b. 1981) is a German saxophonist, jazz musician, and composer. She was born in Quierschied, Saarland and grew up in Fischach in a musical family. She was educated at the University of Performing Arts and Music in Mannheim. Johänntgen has had an active career as a jazz saxophonist with numerous ensembles, including some under own direction.
