Composer: Vries, Sietze de
Sample Producer: Sonus Paradisi
Sample Set: Petruskerk, Leens, Albertus Anthoni Hinsz 1733
Software: Hauptwerk VII
Genre: Baroque
Description:
Sietze de Vries, famous organist and improviser, knows the Hinsz organ of the Petruskerk in Leens very well. Therefore it's the logical choice to play one of his settings on the Genevan Psalter in North German baroque style. Not a notated improvisation this time, but a composition (although it's hard to separate one from another when De Vries improvises). Especially the last part is beautiful with its nice echo passages, which are clear references to Sweelinck and Scheidemann.
